Morning Work 2.12.09

Today is the party; HOWEVER, we still have checkpoints. Today we have reading checkpoints.

How do you think the math checkpoints went yesterday?

Last night you had to read chapter 8 lesson 3. Name one new fact that you have learned, if you feel you didn't learn a new fact, tell me one fact that you were reminded of during your reading.

  1. I thought they were easy yesterday.

In 8.3 I read that after winning some battles the French and Spanish joined some Americans.

  3. The math checkpoints were hard.

In lesson 3, I learned that other countries that were allies to the Americans helped the soldiers fight against Britian.

  4. Math was very good.

In lesson 3, I learned that Washington was planning a surprise attack in Trenton, NJ. Over 1,000 prisoners were captured.

  6. Math checkpoints were okay.

I learned that they used swords in the war based on the picture in the book (when he was crossing the river).
